If you find yourself getting into a jam with submitting your peer review report by the deadline it could be due to several possible reasons.
One possible cause is because you tend to procrastinate in getting the review done. Hey, I’m a practicing CPA so I know how deadlines pile up. If that’s the case though, there is not much I can do to help.
Far more likely is that the concentration of your work load interferes with field work for the peer review or getting report wrapped. As you may have already found, it is difficult to get an extension on your peer review report. Instead, consider changing your year-end. I gather that it is easy to change your year-end. Doing so would not only relieve the pressure this time around, but every three years as well.
